Timber

The heart of the sound of the harp is the wood for the soundboard. We regulary visit and search through woodyards to select the finest quarter sawn timber for our harps. Ironically, the wood we select always seems to be at the bottom of a pile!

Timbers used for the harp generally are Swiss Pine, Western Red Cedar, Black Walnut, Ash, Maple, Beech, and Cherry.
